(UPDATED) Rafa Vs The Hulk

Rafa will be playing tonight (for me) at 19.30 CET.

It's gonna be a nail biter for us Rafanatics as, frankly, Rafa hasn't been showing his best form in Rotterdam so far.

UPDATE: Tennistalk's take on tonight's match. I'm sweating bullets here.

RESULT: Rafa WINS 64, 67(5), 64.

Take that, Hulk.

So many things I wanna say about the match but I really, really, really need sleep. I'm looking haggard and that will not do. And I'm dead on my fingers. So tomorrow then. Ta.

  1. I forgot who the hulk is. Tsonga?

  2. Yup yup. Tsonga it is. Ooooh I'm so nervous.

  3. Well, Rafa should be at least motivated to win. Last year I think it was Seppi that beat him, so he *should* want to win this tourney.

  4. He definitely does, but he really needs to step it up. Yesterday he made a loooot of really unnecessary errors.

  5. Well, he IS upset that I can't watch him...;)

  6. I'm so gonna watch that match! Ah, life's good again for me since the ATP tour is back in Europe and matches are at a decent time. ;)

I gotta say though that Tsonga will be hard to beat - Rafa hasn't been too successful on this surface, and Jo is sure another heck of calibre than those other guys before...

But I'll be rooting my ass off for Rafito. Maybe topless. That's gonna help, no?

  7. Yes, soNa, do it! I will do it, too, even though I can't watch. I will just sit around topless for a few hours, crying.

  8. Hey natch - it's a pretty good match so far, and Rafa has taken the 1st set :)

  9. Must be because me and SoNa took our tops off. You got yours off, too, babz? ;)

Aw, crap, hold on a sec. My Scooba is yelling at me. Be back in a jif.

  10. Well, no, but since I'm in bed you can be pretty sure I'm wearing next to nothing. ;)

  11. Then he's got to win, right? ;)

  12. HELL YEAH!! Rafa comes through against Jo-Willy!! What a great match...I'm so proud of our Matador!!

  13. Whoot!!!!! Rafa stepped his form up. Would have won it in 2 if not for brain freeze on break point up in the second. Tsongas serve was all that got him any games at all.

Rafa hit flat and painted some lines. :)

  14. *cries more*

I wanna watch! I wanna watch!

  15. Yeah, I'm not digging the vicarious tennis, either. It happened during the Olympics, too, and I wasn't any happier about that. But baby's winning, so it's all good. I helped. I made a paella last night. ;)

  16. Jo-Wilfred is a character from "Little Women" no? *confused*

*imagines Rafa playing tennis with Louisa May Alcott*
