No, really, I am. I FLOVE perfume ads. I love how a single picture can give you the essence of a perfume without actually smelling it. But that's my comm major side talking. French Vogue has a blurb about it.
We can thank the Goddes Miri from Nadal News for the article and the super sized picture (right click and enlarge it). Big enough to be a desktop wallpaper, y'all. Such is the power of a goddess.
Now, Rafanatics, what do this ad tells you about the smell? Who's running to the stores in April when this launches just to get a whiff of it? If it doesn't smell like Rafasweat, I'm returning it. Just sayin'.
P.S: Am I the only one who's staring at his HUGE hands?

I just don't like his face in that photo. The rest of the body...delicioso. But there's something off about his face. Like he's constipated or very uncomfortable. Rafa is much better when he's not being posed.
I much prefer towel-wrapped Rafa, with just his teeth showing, in the header (way to go, Babz!)
Natch, I can see what you're saying, I'm not always overly keen myself on staged shoots (hate the one he did for timeforce a while ago), but this one is beautiful, me thinks.

Oh gosh he's beautiful. One of the few posed pics I've ever seen of Rafa and liked, 'cause he has this mysterious look on his face, like he's thinking about .... things.

What if the new bottle was Rafa-shaped and the packaging it came in was a towel? So then you open it by ripping the towel off the bottle and - voila! - there he is in all his Rafaglory.

I've never wanted to ravish anyone more (or have anyone ravish ME more LOL). I am sorry but this ad is just screaming s-e-x SEX. Like the raw, dirty, animalistic type of sex that can surprise even the freakiest of us out there! I mean there is absolutely NO WAY Rafa is thinking about tennis or sport in this picture. He is thinking about ripping your clothes off and doin' ya till the sun comes up. Or...is that just me?? ;)

ReplyDeleteFinally someone did a great job at doing a photo shoot with Rafa and not have him look totally uncomfortable and unnatural.
Lanvin really managed to catch the essence of his sex appeal: that wild, raw, untamed magnetism with predator eyes and hands, raven mane and killer bod - still, his sweet, boyish and charming personality shining through a bit.
Oh, and the way they dressed him... It's like they tried to put him in a suit but he got all wild and just needed to rip it off. Like he wants to rip my clothes off, I think. LOL

ReplyDeleteOMG, are you kidding me?? I would bet every cent I had on him thinking, "I don't know what they want me to do in this pose." He is NOT making love to the camera, which is what he should be doing. He is slightly squinting, or his eyes are narrowed. That doesn't happen when you're turned on. (Ask my UPS man. ;) ) Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you and everyone else here who thinks like you (I also like the thoughts you put into my head. ;) ) I hope that perfume's sales go through the roof.
But I sure wouldn't want Rafa (or any other man) ever looking at me with that same expression.
