Behind The Scene: Video Of Rafa Supposedly Live Chatting With Fans

Remember the live chat that no one could get to? Babolat puts out a video of Rafa supposedly chatting live with the fans.

Still not convinced. Vid could've been taken anytime. Not one single shot proved Rafa was actually there. Oh well.

  2. Do you girls know, that everytime you lick the screen, the mark shows up on mine?

*wipes screen for the 30th time since yesterday*

Such is the power of Rafa.

  3. LOL I didn't see Rafa typing his own chats. But those grins and laughs are already enough for me :P~

  4. Yeah, I never figured he was typing answers, but given how bad an actor he is, that now seems more likely than him faking it. I bet they guy sitting next to him help a bit too...unless maybe that's why the chat was so slow...Rafa's typing. :)

  6. What a strange video to put out - what's the whole point of it besides showing fans he was actually there?

Plus, I still don't get the idea of "pre-registered" questions for a "live chat". The whole concept is to have a real time conversation with him so how real could it be if the questions have been chosen ahead of time?

IMO Benito is way too controlling. Everything is becoming very generic and his personality gets stifled. LET GO!

In any case, his smile can still brighten any room. *swoons*

  7. This is where I once again prove myself to be an over-serious old fuddy-duddy. ;) I do think Benito is controlling, when it comes to Rafa's image, but I also think that fits with Rafa's personality. Rafa's always been very careful to separate his private and public life and is the king of the no-answer answers. So, while I don't care for Benito, I think he's a fit for how Rafa wants his PR to run. (Well, except for Benito being rude to fans - that's so not Rafa.)

Every live "celebrity" chat I've tried to participate in turns out to be a cluster-fuck. Even when people do get through, the chat mainly seems to be "Hi! Is this really, XXXX?" "Hi! How are you today?" "Hi, can anyone read this?" "Hi, I LOVE YOU! YoU Are The BestEst EvER!!!1!!!" So, stupid. I think the pre-registered questions were to help fill in any lulls or deal with crap like that. The transcript seems to indicate when a question was a pre-registered one and those weren't all the ones that were answered.

  8. I totally agree, it seems like Rafa has properly compartmentalized his "life" life and his "public" life, which includes such things as tennis, love of Real Madrid and Playstation, what he ate for lunch, golf, fishing ... and that's about it. I'm sure he has a full life and all, but I'm kind of glad that he keeps a lot of it to and for himself (okay, I feel this way except during moments when I wanna KNOW EVERYTHING OMG!1!!!).

  9. I know! It's so frustrating - the pull between "I respect your choices" and "show me it all, baby!"
