Rafa Knees Alert: Caution, Might Cause Extreme Distress For Rafanatics

Today at the exhibition match at the Hurlingham Club in London, Rafa lost 46, 36 to Leyton Hewitt.

Now, I do not care who he lost to or how. What worries me is what this article says:
Rafael Nadal still looked hampered by his injured knees in an unsuccessful transition to grass Thursday and will decide Friday whether he is fit enough to defend his Wimbledon title.

Nadal played without tape on his sore knees but frequently looked a step slow in losing 6-4, 6-3 to Lleyton Hewitt in an exhibition match at the Hurlingham Club in London.

I wonder if something is lost in translation (oh I sure hope so) but apparently Uncle Tony said this:
"It's the first match (on grass), and we'll have to wait until tomorrow," Toni Nadal said. "I don't know. We'll have to wait until tomorrow, and we'll see then."

When pressed about Nadal's chances of playing at Wimbledon, his coach did not sound optimistic.

"If it's me, I'm (flying) to Mallorca," he said, referring to the island Nadal grew up on.

Right, so Tio Tony said he would go home if he's Rafa. I'm not panicking. I swear. I just need a bottle of Prozac or Valium or someone to knock me out until we hear official word whether he's playing Wimbledon or not.

The good news is that he looks like a bronze statue came to life in that white Wimbledon outfit (yes, that is what he will wear if he plays), and his shirt sticks to him like white on rice. The bad news? We might not get the chance to see Rafa working that outfit in Wimbledon.

  6. I have just been to the shop to prepare for tomorrow, coz I know if he pulls out of WimblyI will not be able to function properly for at least 24 hours.

    This is what I bought:

    1. Something VERY easy to cook for dinner (as my brain will not function)
    2. Bottle(s) of red wine (to get nicely drunk with)
    3. Ingredients to make huge batch of chocolate brownies (in case Rafa decides to go gay-clubbing in Brighton after he pulls out of Wimbly and then comes to visit me and craves some chocolate. What is the likelihood of that, BTW?)
    4. Bottle(s) of Absolut Vodka to finish myself off with

Anyone want to come around tomorrow night?

  7. Eh? I'm sorry CC, but I have to ask.. are you saying you're a.. gay man?

No need to reply if you don't wanna answer, and I will delete this question if you don't.

  8. *lol*
No, I'm not. I'm a lady heterosexual. But I live in Brighton, with lotsa great gay clubs and that is a reason for lotsa people to come here! Maybe not for Rafa, though... However, for some reason I suddenly found the thought of him in a gay club a really hot one!

  9. Goodness! And here I thought all this time I thought you were a woman when you were a man! *relieved that gay-dar is still working properly*

I heard that Brighton is a really nice place to live! Are you a born and bred british?

  10. Last time I looked I was a woman, for sure! (:

Brighton is one of the coolest places in the world, I'm sure of it. They say that once you've moved here you will never move anywhere else.
I'm Swedish though, moved here 7 years ago because of uni, then stayed because of love... Ahhh...

  11. Yes, I was, er, invited by someone once to come and live in Brighton. Sadly the "arrangements" didn't work out, or I could be in Brighton right now!

Ah, love.. I'm so jealous you found it ;)

  12. What glasses?? *passes a whole bottle to sky*

  13. Ah, well... Hopefully you'll get to visit some time!

  14. This is pretty much exactly how I'll be dealing if he doesn't play Wimbledon. Agree with Babz, no glasses necessary, just drink from the bottle.

Aside: I lived in Brighton about 7 years ago! Worked there on student visa for a summer. It was lovely, except when the Londoners would come on the weekends : ) (Nothing against Londoners personally, just made it crowded, messy, and expensive!)

  15. If he pulls out i definitly want to come and join you..

I'll bring a box of tissues???

  16. Sweetie, you need to get some sleep. Talk about misinterpretation.

OF COURSE I know how to make things larger!!! ;) Oh...you're talking about the computer, aren't you? Sorry, my bad. But yeah, I know how to do that, too.

Here, I'll rewrite my post in plain English, which is not near as fun:
In the first photograph, the net is covering Rafa's crotch, which is pretty much all I care about. If I'm looking at a photo of Rafa, my eyes are first going to his crotch, then his legs. In that order. Oh wait, there it is. A nice shot of the bulge in the second photograph. Good thing I know how to scroll.

    Happy now? ;)

  17. Oooooooh...I wanna feel myself up, too. You know, to make sure I'm a woman!
    *feels up self*
    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Speaking of which, what's the difference between "Oooohhhhhhhh" and "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"?

    Give up?

    About three inches.
    *ducks rotten fruit being hurled*

CC, I live in a gay neighborhood, too! Flove it.

  18. I know, but it is much better if i can "move" the net, no? ;)

  19. “Oooohhhhhhhh” and “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”, "About three inches."

natch, you cannot make comments like these in a blog about Rafa. I cannot handle it...

    Must. Go. To. Work. Now.

  20. Tissues will be needed. For Rafa's tears. And ours.

  21. natch you make my day, my week, my month XD

  22. I'M THERE!! *lol*

I'm bringing a USB stick with a huge folder of my fave Rafa hotness pictures!!

Now, I'm reading through that last sentence again, and I only see:
stick - huge - Rafa hotness

    Am I normal??

    ReplyDelete
  23. Probably more normal than I am! ;)

    I think I'm going mad.

Ohhhhs and ahhhs and inches and sticks and hotness... OMG!
