Roger steamrolled Potro 63, 60, 60.
Either Rodge was working some really powerful mojo or Potro lost all control of his admittedly very gangly limbs at the start of the second set.
I wish I was home to watch it. Damn this chinese new year thing.
*shakes fist*
********Yeah, yeah, I know this is supposed to be a blog about Rafa and all his fabulous assets, but since this is a grand slam, and he is still very much in the draw, everything and everyone in it has a certain involvement with him, no? Yes? No?
It was just depressing. As much as I love Feds, as as much as he played well... Delpo was just checked out. The game was over after the first break in the second set, and was pretty uninspired by Delpo before that. It makes it a little hard to judge exactly how well Feds is playing (as the commies on the broadcast I watched also pointed out), because there wasn't a player down the other end of the court. Delpo was clearly psyched out before he stepped onto the court.
ReplyDeleteAnd, of course, if you need a Rafa connection (always good, no?) there's always the awsomeness of him posting even better stats (than Feds did last night), when he played Haas... and Haas actually turned up and played well. :)
PP - I actually rushed home, expecting the match to be in the 4th set or thereabouts. Imagine my shock when I saw that Fed has totally destroyed Potro with 2 bagels. TWO!!! I really thought he'd give Fed a bit of a challenge. I'm very disappointed.
ReplyDeleteRafa connection is always good, but not strictly necessary. :D
And I watched that match.

I wouldn't say it was a good match. It looked almost too easy for Rafa despite being left behind 2-0 in the 1st set. Haas KNEW he wasn't going to win and I think that did a lot to him.
Rafa...Haas....
ReplyDelete...talk about pleasant phuc...oops. Did I say that out loud?
Honey, everything's permissible in the ears of a Rafanatic.
ReplyDeleteNot to dash hopes or anything, but I always thought Haas could be... playing for the other team. Not sure though.
Nope, he's as straight as an arrow. Unfortunately, he's also an arrogant ass, but since when does that play a part in pleasant phucking?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, like I said before, gay, straight...means nothing when lusting.
