Richard Gasquet won over his compatriot Tsonga, *and* Curly Gulbis. Like, huh? Gilles Simon finally got a few matches under his belt following his double defeats during the Davis Cup, and Ginge is out on his first match. Although it was against Juan Monaco, so I can't exactly whine about this. But it still has some weirdness about the whole thing.
Thank God Rafa is still King, and Marat still losing. Marat blew his 62, 54 lead to lose to (my current crush) Tommy. I'm thinking hey should make it illegal for Marat to play already. All those broken hearts of tennis fans amongst the globe is just not healthy.
Oh, some weirdness still coming today: Rafa is going against Robin Soderling. I feel dirty just writing this guy's full name, like I've tainted my pristine white, innocently naive blog or something. Anyways, I'm SO up for some Sod trashing. Pass the popcorn.

Rafa looked awesome, although extra twitchy today. His shirt strip at the end was the best in this game. That's when you can really see how those white shorts sort of caresses his hips and waist perfectly. And the bum...

It's Nando, again. I'm kind of torn, there. I want to see Nando do well, he's worked so hard and improved so much. But. . . I want Rafa to win. Full stop. It's hard to watch. I wish Nando was in the other half of the draw, so he could get further into it, before running into our hero.

ReplyDeleteOkay, I get the Soderling contempt. It's not for me, but I get it. But, to me, it's no better or worse than some of the things Djoker has done. Or The Worm. Or Johnny Mac. Or countless others. It's just a case of immaturity mixed with testosterone, combined with a dash of inferiority. Even Rafa added fuel to the fire. I mean, when it comes down to it, most people (especially males) in their 20's act like idiots. That's what your 20's are for! ;) It's different degrees of idiocy in different people, but idiocy nonetheless. Except for our own little Babz, who is perfect in every way. *coughs* ;)
