Yes, Yes I Would.

You can't very well expect me to say no when you present a very sculpted jawline covered in sexy stubble now can you?

Don't even get me started on the adam's apple.

Thanks Jills for the pic!

From My Blog To Rafa's Ear

Last week, prompted by a picture of Rafa wearing what looks like a biker's sunglasses in Mallorca, I said this:

Those sunglasses makes me want to see him straddling the rumbling engine of a Ducatti.

And yesterday? Et voila:

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet baby Jesus, thank you!

Okay, so it's a Harley not Ducatti, but I'm close enough. I don't know why or how he got this bike but future possible photo-ops is crowding my mind at a phenomenal pace.

Methinks though, Marat needs to teach him how to pose around a bike, since they're such good friends and all.

What say you, darlings? Should they pose around a bike together to further fan our unholy lusts?

Tennis Fact: Justin Gimelstob Is A Douche.

Proof:

Yes, dear Justin took this picture of him wearing a very sexy hospital cap and gown to show us his pretty mug right before he has an epidural injection. He deleted the picture right after he published it but uh-oh, firefox history button allowed me to go back and *gasp* print screen this lovely page of this picture in his twitpic account for all of you to see and ogle. You can ogle it better by enlarging it. Right click and "view image".

I told him that he was a douche by replying to his @ in twitter and I followed him right after (I wasn't a follower before) to see what other douchebaggery he could come up with and guess what? He blocked me. Yep. This man, a renowned sports commentator who used to be a proffesional tennis player, is small enough to block a little blogger from the third world because she called him a douche to his face.

Justin, you're a douche. It's just my opinion. Get over  it. Can't we all just be friends?

I say if you're stupid enough to publish such a proof of douchebaggery lovely picture, then at least be brave enough to deal with the backlash.

Update: My bad. The picture still exists.

Kneesgate Update

Rafa's team needs to find a way to anounce they're going to announce something without making people worrying all the damned day. I was *this* close to chugging my mom's 30 year old red vintage.

From rafaelnadal.com:

Rafa Nadal underwent further medical tests today in Barcelona. He is slowly recovering from his injury and will resume practice next Monday July 20th. He will back in action in Montreal where he is defending champion.

Rafa travelled to Barcelona yesterday and underwent medical exams to see the evolution of the insertion tendinitis of both Quadricipitals Tendons through an MRI and radiography under the supervision of his doctor Angel Ruiz-Cotorro.

Also, Benito? Stop using google as translator, because "evolution of injury" makes people think of bad, bad things. Like the injury has evolved into a more advanced injury, and that is never good in the world of fandom. The word you're looking for is "development". I'm always available to be a translator for your time. I will not require payment, only time alone with Rafa 15 minutes every day. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Please don't think I am ungracious for the update. I am very grateful that you're involving us almost every step of the way. The announcement just didn't need that much sense of occasion.

Maybe I need to chug that vintage after all.

Let's Talk Fashion: What Rafa's Wearing For USO

It's the same shirt with what he's wearing for Montreal, just in different colors, but.. I love it! I'm a sucker for warm tones.

Does this look snug to you? Good one, Nike.

For the night matches:

Breathe my darlings. Breathe.

Let's Talk Fashion: What Rafa's Wearing For Montreal

Rumor is..

Rafa's wearing the Nike Men's Fall Double Bold Polo ($60) to his comeback for the season in Montreal.

And the Nike Men's Fall Woven Long Shorts ($55) to hug those bitable bubble butt.

Shoes? The Nike Air Max Breathe Cage II, $115.

I haven't found anything about the head/wristsbands, but I'd be surprised if they're not yellow or white.

The warmup gear:

Nike Men's Fall Trend Woven Warmup, $140.

What do you think? You like? Or have we seen the blue one too many times already?

Nando. Muscles. Glisten.

Sorry, I can't think of a title in full sentences.

The yards of luscious, edible Nando skin sort of zapped a few brain cells.

Basement Pictures: The Evil Circle Of Rafa's Friends

So most of us probably knew that Rafa hangs out with a few guys named Tomeu and Mateu.

What you most probably didn't know is that MOST of the friends that he hangs out with is either called Tomeu, or Mateu.

That's right. 3 Tomeus and 2 Mateus to be exact.

Rumor is that there's 1 Joan and 1 Carlos (not Moya) in the mix, but it's still pretty bizarre if you ask me.

No, I don't know which is which. I'm not that interested to find out because I don't think I'll hit any of them. Ok, maybe the bald one. And the one in the middle of the first picture. But only if Rafa's not available!

Oh, to be a straight man and hang out with Rafa. I could hitch rides on the jet ski, the Aston. Not to mention Rafa is probably a very effective bait to draw other women.

I know, like DUH.

Thanks for the info, Stoogle!

More Wet Rafa

Goodness, how I do spoil you, my darling Rafanatics.

*inhales sharply*

So how many of you would purposely fall off the jet ski so Rafa (being the chivalrous gentleman he is) could plunge into the dangerous depths of the sea to envelop you in his brawny arms and swim you safely back to shore?

Last but not least, wet Rafarse shot.

Mrawr.

Again, thanks to Stoogle.

Yes, I'm Still Going On About Roddick. Bite Me.

Jon Wertheim demanded us his Twitter followers to read this article, and just like lemmings we went and did. Don't look at me that way. When I said I was a new fan, I was being serious.

Joe Posnanski did a good job of explaining why he (and I) likes Roddick much better after he lost at Wimbledon. Somehow his fight compels you to relate to him.
Andy Roddick is not George Bailey. He's not ordinary. He's the No. 6 tennis player in the world. He's a multi-multi-millionaire tennis player married to a swimsuit model. He hops around the world and hosts Saturday Night Live and probably wouldn't even want to win the lottery because of the tax complications.

But here's the thing: He wanted to win Wimbledon. I mean, yes, of course he wanted to Wimbledon, but you could see from the first point on that he WANTED to win Wimbledon, that it was hugely important to him, that it was everything to him. You could surmise from his look and intensity that this was, in fact, what he had been dreaming about since he was a little boy. This was his moment, and few really thought he could win. As soon as the match began -- Roddick facing off against maybe the greatest tennis player ever on his favorite surface -- I felt like it was Roddick staring into the mirror and asking himself that same question that I think most people ask themselves at some point in their lives: "Am I good enough?"

And, a video comes with the article. Andy's presser after his loss to Federer in AO 2007. Classic Roddick.

I wonder if it matters much to Andy that he may not have won Wimbledon but amassed more fans? Hmm.

Meanwhile, the now strangely likable Andy was spotted in Soho yesterday getting some retail therapy with wife.

Now, Don't Judge.

I know, I know these are pap pics but my existence, my DNA craves for current pictures of him and I know you miss him too so here they are.

Rafa at a yacht club near his home.

*sigh*

Darlings, does he not look good? Sight for sore eyes.

No darlings, I still don't know what's happening with the hair. As if we care. We'll take him bald, tarred and feathered thank you very much.

Om freakin' nom.

Smile Rafa smile! Please tell me I'm not the only one who's sort of turned on by the turn of his ankles.

You know how reverse psychology works? That if he wears something with "RAFA" on it then he must not be the real deal? Clever man.

I may be biased about those sunglasses, but whatthefuckever. He looks smokin' hot. Not many could pull it off, I imagine.

Those sunglasses makes me want to see him straddling the rumbling engine of a Ducatti.

Thank you Stella for the link!

Au Revoir, Mathieu.

Mathieu Montcourt died today.

He was found dead at the stairwell to his Paris apartment by his girlfriend. Cause of death is not yet known but autopsy will be performed. There is a rumor spreading that he suffered a pulmonary embolism.

He was 24.

Rafa issued a statement regarding Mathieu's death earlier today:

MON AMI MATHIEU MONTCOURT

Manacor, Spain - July 7th 2009

This morning I woke up with one of the worst news anyone can receive. I heard about the death of our friend Mathieu Montcourt. I am still under shock for this. I can't believe it.

I knew Mathieu since we were kids. We competed together at all the events at an international level there is since you are a kid: Les Petit As, Copa Borotta, etc. and of course afterwards once becoming professionals,.

When someone like this disappears, when something like this happens, you really know where we are and the relativeness of winning or losing a tennis match, of not competing at an event or anything else. This is the loss of a guy who was only 24 and that was sports person. He won't be playing with us again.

I would like to send my most deep and sincere condolences to his family, to his friends and to the French fans.

Mathieu, Rest in peace.

Rafa Nadal

We will remember you. Rest in peace.
